Will you all let a coastal dweller in? I've had all my shots, I promise!
Jonah, Cape Meares, yeller OK Trident 13, fish the rivers, lakes, and bays of Tillamook Co. for everything that swims or crawls in the water, and soon, very, very soon, the salty goodness that is the Pacific. Anybody that's headed west over the hill for the glitz and glamor of T-town or surrounding environs, I dig fishing with new folks so let's meet up.

haha! Thanks Spot! I was hopping to put some more fish on the board today. I just got back from Coos Bay area but no fish to report. :'(  It was my first time out there and off shore so it was more of a scouting trip. Fun time on the water though! Like the saying goes a bad day of fishing beats a good day a work.  ;D

I fish CB a lot. Let me know next time you want to try it. Maybe I could show you around a little.

my moniker is codeman, my name is Cody.  Been trying to get a yak for a couple of years, almost there. I live in Saint Helens and would love to able to get together with you guys and talk your ear off.  I've done tons of research, but first hand knowledge would be sooo much better. Please add me to the list.  I look forward to meeting you guys!!  Not sure yet if im ganna get my smaller yak in the 11 ft range for lakes / res thats fast and manuverable, or get my ocean yak in the 13 or 14 ft range thats wider and more stable.  Both are wanted, i guess the first best deal i come across.

I hear you got your kayak!

Hi all,
We just moved here from C.t. in July. We are lovin the weather, but I can't fish till  the new year. (too cheap to pay nonres. fees)  I have been yak fishing for 8yrs, mostly striped bass, bluefish, weakfish, and fluke. I have an older T160 and Prowler13. Looking forward to a new playground in the NW.

day (1, 2 or 3 day) licenses are reasonable, allow you to catch all species (salt/fresh etc), and you can re-buy as often as you like.  Now is a great time of year to be a yak fishermen in the NW, don't wait till next year to get in on the action, its a long wet winter ;D

Swampyankee, welcome to the Portland.  I just moved here from Boston 3 months ago.  The techniques are a bit different, but these are good guys and will happily show you the ropes.  If you ever get home sick let me know and I will happily head out to drag a T&W or toss some Hogys and Sluggos.
