Thanks Craig, that makes you lucky 13.

might as well throw me in there. I'm in Hood River in the days, and Stevenson, WA nights, so I'm close to Portland.

Greetings Brian.

I joined to let you know there are more of us lurking out there.  I'm in Lake Oswego (along with a few others too..) and I appreciate the posts you make.

What a great sport this is.  I bought my Hobie Outback SUV last spring because I needed more of 1) fishing and 2) exercise.  I've fished mostly for lingcod - both Oregon coast and San Juan islands.  Some crabbing.  Some salmon.  But last week I anchored in the Willy and caught 3 shaker Sturgeon in a couple of hours.  Lost even more.  That is now my favorite target.

So if you see a yellow Hobie near George Rodgers this weekend, shout out.

Welcome Deepcolor.  Glad to see you're enjoying some willy sturgeon fishing.  I'm hoping to have a large NWKA gathering in early December to introduce more of the members to this fun fishery.

Make sure you have your other lurker friends check in.  I'd really like a sense of how many of us there are in the Portland area.  This not only helps me find new people to fish with, but it also helps when I talk to various kayak and tackle shops about possibly carrying more kayak fishing related gear.

See you on the water,
Brian

Wow we're now up to 24 PDX Crew members with most of them being active or very active members.    I'm so glad to see this sport growing here in Portland as it means I have more people to bug to go fishing with me now  ;D
