Dean, I didn't realize you might need some help.  I saw you hook and start fighting that fish, but then you disappeared.  I thought you landed it and headed home!

Yep, he had some gear issues and like you, wanted to make sure he could take a fish home. He lost that first one due to gear issues. Then he took it suuuuuper easy on the next fish. Pretty much 2 hours.. longest fight of the tourney! ;)

He took it easy on the last fish until I showed up to help.  By then he was way back in 5 feet of water.  I was having fun corralling the fish.  Yes, I was a herding the fish with my kayak towards Dean.  Then I coached him a little on how to pull himself to the the fish.  Then with a little more encouragement ("if you rest, the fish rests!!") Dean put a little more pressure on the fish and we finally got it in the net.
