Kayak Fishing photo presentation at the WKC 2/27

Please join us as outdoor adventure photographer Jock Bradley
demonstrates how you can catch marlin, bass, striper and tarpon from
your kayak just about anywhere! Jock has been an adventure kayak
photographer for the past twelve years and his work can be found in
major sport magazines, advertisements and books. He will share photos
from a variety of kayak fishing trips including southeast Alaska, Baja,
Ottawa, Chesapeake Bay and Florida. There will also be a sneak preview
of the video "Game On" produced by Ken Whiting of Heliconia Press
featuring well-known fishing guide, Jim Sammons. To find out more

Is there any interest in having NWKA host our own sneak preview of the kayak fishing video "Kayak Fishing: Game On"?   I don't know exactly what's involved but the publisher, Helicon Press, has a special program for clubs like ours that want to do something like this.

For the Seattle area, we can probably piggy back on the WKC showing.  If there is interest in the having a private showing in the Portland area, speak up and we can try to arrange one, perhaps invite Jock to do a showing like he is doing a the WKC.

Anybody got any good ideas for a venue for this in Portland.  I'm thinking brew pub with a big screen TV, but I don't know how much something like that would cost (I like free).  Anyway, I doubt you all want to gather around my 32" CRT TV.  I'll check with my contact at Helicon Press about what is involved.

You might also want to check with Deek at Next Adventure. They've hosted a lot of the whitewater events/premiers locally over the last few years, and would probably be more up to date on the details.
