Astoria Estuary Sturgeon Expedition
« on: June 04, 2007, 11:30:25 pm »
Been getting too many reports of estuary Sturgeon lately and it sounds like it'd be doable from the yak. Conditions are very similar to NorCal yakfishing (big tides and relatively shallow water <100' ) and their techniques should apply. Anybody game for BIG fishes in little boats? As an added bonus I think your Washington license would apply (could somebody confirm that?)

I would look in to the Young's Bay and Hammond areas. They're relatively protected from the winds.

On licenses, I believe you need to be licensed from the state you launch from. :(
