Yeah, kinda what I was thinking. I would imagine most south sounders could make a Sun afternoon. Bring the fam too for a day of fishing and grilling. I'll have to wait until after May 1st before I can commit to anything solid though.

Next weekend for opening weekend lake fishing I will be camping at Tanwax Lake at Camp Lakeview http://www.camplakeview-wa.com/.  I was wondering if everyone was interested in having a meet up there on a Saturday maybe May 14 as previously stated.  The only down fall is they charge a $3 day use or you can camp for $20-$26 like I do.  They do however have nice swimming area, boat launch and place for everyone to meet and BBQ.  Not to mention I killed it trout fishing last year and the best part is I did it still fishing no trying to paddle and fish at the same time.

Sounds like a  good spot for sure. Now just got to figure out a date to work for most.

BTW Chris....finally got all my hunters ED for WA squared away. Lee and I just came back from a long weekend hunt about an hour north of Colville. Got a good archery turkey hunt FAIL story next time I see you.

Haha!!! It's just a right of passage. If you hunt for 100 years you'll never have that same FAIL again.

Nice!! I'm still planning on Tanwax for that weekend unless everyone backs out. As much as I want to do opening weekend, it's just not in the cards for me this time.

Usually this early in the year the skiers and fast boaters are not to bad since the water is so cold. Also they usually only come out during the middle of day and fishing is usually better at day break or dawn.  I will double check while I am there this weekend to see if there is anything special for group gatherings.  Don't forget they have good places to both tent and RV camp.
