Wow!!! When I said Humminbird was on board, I didn't know they'd be sending a top of the line 385ci Combo ($400 MSRP).

It's also what they call the "combo kayak" version which means it means it comes with a kayak transducer, installation kit, battery, charger, drybag, and a screen cover.

That's some sweet Schwag!   No doubt about it.

Are you guys quoting the growth rate of NCKA's AOTY and pointing out the media coverage to perspective sponsors?

- Has anybody hit up Dick's or Sportsman's yet?  I noticed they both have a full page adds with coupons in the Oregon Fishing regs this year.

- Is there still a potential for Hobie kicking down a yak for the 2010?

I have yet to go into full on sell mode yet, and therefore haven't been quoting the stats.  When we get more people signed up, I'll probably start doing so.

Fishermen's Marine is a good local company (least I think they are still locally owned) they might be game for some swag?  (I have thought they need to sell yaks)

Any chance this year the prizes will be lined out ahead of time for what place wins what.  The lami for the biggest salmon is a cool deal ;D. Having a heads up for what the prizes are for each place and what prizes might be available for things like largest fish in a category or whatever, might get more folks interested and signed up.   If an angler knew that hummingbird was the prize for the biggest ling then more folks might sign up, get off the sidelines and out into the salt.

Yeah, we should strive for that.

I thought we did say somewhere in one of the threads that the Lami was the prize for biggest salmon.  But what we should do is capture on the AOTY page.

I'm going to guess it will be somethine like:

1st: Kayak
2nd: Humminbird
3rd: Paddle or PFD or rod... not settled yet.

Then any prizes after that we'll fill with cool "side bets" as we go.  This years format has endless possibilities.  It all depends on how many people sign up.  Again, the sooner you sign up, the sooner we can get some of this stuff in place.

I'm also going to try to get some sort  of Grand Prize ... like a trip somewhere to be raffled off.

Oh ... NRS is back with us again sponsoring the Youth Division.  Paddle wear (!!!) for the youth champion.

Out of curiosity what are the prizes for 2009?  Maybe I missed something but the sign up page has said "prizes will be announced soon" since I signed up in April.  Not trying to be pushy just curious what I LET SPOT and PP win. ;D

The best 10 out of 20 species is a great idea.  Glad to see lakers replace tiger muskie.

I was reading the 2010 rules and I think this was from an earlier contest.
