Product Listings

We're currently putting together listings for various product categories.  Here are the product categories that currently have listings.
Note: this is  a work in progress and the PFD link is incomplete right now.  We're just putting something up to get the concept correct.  The intent is to have complete listing of a given product type with descriptions and pictures.  For a particular product listing, if there is a discussion in this forum, there will also be a link back to that discussion.

Does anyone have a recommendation of what and where I can find a good wet, or dry suit for a 5 year old?  Or does anyone have one for sale?  I am willing to purchase a good quality one to last a few years since there will be a couple younger siblings that could use it.

Thanks

I might have one for you.  I think my youngest has probably outgrown his.  I'll have him try it on and let you know.
Actually, little kids wetsuits are pretty cheap.  I've purchased several over the years from Dennis at the Seaside Surfshop right on 101 in Seaside.

Cool.  Thanks, let me know.  Next time I'm out there with my boys, I will see if we can find some that fit.  I didn't see any locally (maybe not the right season) but I haven't looked to hard yet.

nice, I love seeing kids on the water. There's a variety of wetsuits, splash pants & top, and even drysuits out there. NRS & Kokatat both make great stuff, and is what I've used with my kids. I'd take a look at what Spot has, and check Craigslist as well. We also have a couple different styles of wetsuits & splash gear in stock if you're ever out in the Gorge. I've typically used wetsuits with splash gear over the top. It's the best value combo I found, and allows them to very things around for conditions.

One thing to note with the kids - even bundled up, they tend to get cold much quicker than adults. Plan on shorter paddles with plenty of opportunities to stop & shake things out the first few times. A thermos of hot cocoa & pb&j sammiches go a long way as well.

Thanks, I was hoping you would chime in.  I guess its time to road trip to Hood River.  Maybe stop at the hatchery so they can see the giant sturgeon on the way.

I also found that if you have multiple boats, they can practice their pirate boarding techniques which also keeps the interest up.  Another reason for the wet or dry suit.

Thanks
