When does NWKA hit 1000 members?

When ever I say it does  Sort of... we've recently switched to a system where the admins have to approve new members to cut down on spammers.

Ahh, so that's what a new guy i met was talking about...Said he wasn't approved for registering for some reason, i told him it's just an automated thing, guess not anymore.

The only reason real people get denied is if we make a mistake and deny someone because we mistakenly think they were a spammer.  If you've been denied, please send an email to [email protected] and we'll straighten it out.

I try to do it a couple times everyday but sometimes I miss a day.   I'd like to go back to the automated thing, but the spammers are pretty good at what they do.    The only folks I deny out right are obvious spammers (i.e. from Russia with a spam website listed in their profile).  Some folks get an activation request email meaning that they have one more step to prove they aren't a spam bot.  Other than that, anyone from the US with a reasonable member name gets activated and sent a welcome email.

They aren't very good rejects.  Mostly things like JohnJade321 and the like.
