At a minimum I think the various Scotty or RAM mounts and accessories.  They have a few Scotty pole holders there but it's merchandising is more of a 'throw a few here by these boxes that may/may not be backstock, throw a couple up on this hanger with zip ties' than any sort of organized display.  Game clips and hawg troughs as suggested.  Some orange flags that aren't $25 (bike flags or something).  Even little things like strain relief fittings for thru hull cable runs would be nice for someone to be able to grab.  Maybe the occasional fold up crab pot or two, but even that might be getting too far into tackle.

I don't know how smart that is, because most of the stuff you add to your yak, you know exactly what you want and where you want it, before you cut or drill. Most brick and mortars can't compete on price with dot com warehouses, and most stuff you're going to find at fishing/sporting retailers. Wouldn't be the first shaky decision Haycamp and Eustis have made, but to their credit they make more good ones than bad ones. That's why they've been around all these years.

I don't think it's a bad idea for them to carry some of the mounts, accessories, thru hull riggings, etc. - and hell when I was recently getting all my mounts and stuff I'd have definitely gone there instead of the various other shops I went to - but I'd say they should definitely stay clear of tackle, rods, reels, etc.

I agree the smaller stuff makes sense, because I hate paying $6 shipping on a couple $1.79 items (like the spare drain plugs I bought through ACK). I will still most likely order my mounts and other "big ticket" items for my next kayak through one of NWKA's fine sponsors such as Hook1 or OutdoorPlay, or RAM. Just to show some love for those who have in the past (and hopefully future) pledged to support our fun.

Uh oh, oops, I take that back, after a search of the board Next Adventure kicked in for the Dungie Derby. Well, I'll shop them too, I guess.
