Thanks for the heads up Nate.  Sounds interesting.  Is this a kayak fishing tournament?

Who else is up for the challenge? The auction prize list is growing fast, so mark your calendars for Dec 11th for the NA 1st Annual Sturgeon Tournament at Jefferson Boat ramp in Milwaukie, OR. Keep in mind that 1st-3rd prizes are trophy's, but all the other prizes are raffled. We have a few summer tourneys, but lets get the winter tourneys going as well. Afterall, we all have a few things in common right, BIG fiesty fish and H2O?
See you on the river!

So do you have to launch from there or is that just where the weigh in is?  Please tell me you can fish else where and just weigh in there. If the water is up (current tends to be fairly strong in that area) there are safer/shallower areas to fish nearby and I would hate to limit fishing to such a small area.  maybe limit it to below the falls in OC and above the Fremont bridge?

As it stands now you can fish anywhere on the river below the falls.  The Jefferson St ramp is just the tournament headquarters.

Very cool.  Lots of great water out there!  Looking forward to it.   Sturgeon fishing these first 3 days of the season has be good. Lots of quality fish around.

You're welcome to either my T11 or Cobra Pro Fisherman (warning, this is the one that tends to sink....)

Jammer got my other T13 for his ORC win and the replacement is still on order.  My F-n-D is in Bend and the Explorer is on permanent loan.

As for an anchor system, I'm afraid I only have the one.  I do have a 2 way tie off for it though.  I've used it to anchor up to 3 kayaks at once.
