PINKS
« on: September 25, 2007, 05:31:19 am »
First time I have heard of this. Pink salmon caught in the lower estuary of the Chetco!
Was he lost!?  14+ #'s and as fresh as can be. I allways thought they were a northern run.
Any how, caught on a bobber with sand shrimp. I 'm hoping a few more are following him in!

Did you know that we didn't used to have a pink run on the Green River in WA.  This year they estimated 1.3M of the buggers.  It is believed that strays started the run.

Was it really 14+ pounds?  That world record class.

14+ lb Pink is huge!  I think the biggest I ever caught in Valdez was about 6 lbs.

The all tackle record evidently is 14.49 lbs.
