Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.”  Benjamin Franklin. Or as some wise friend once said so eloquently...."Beer is good."   I've been brewing my own the last few years.  Would love to share some Sitka Spruce Brown Ale at a future outing.

Well.......  I should get some negative finger pointing from this one.   I am a "clear beer" drinker, WHEN I drink beer instead of a good bourbon.  Premium Bud (not the unleaded stuff) is my cheap draft.  A bottle of Corona is .......  sublime!

I know........ I'm old, and set in my ways.   :-[

Does the Corona have to have been stored under fluorescent lighting for a few days first?

With all the awesome breweries OR has, who decided to limit the choices to Ninkasi?  I suspect collusion.

I believe it might have something to do with Ninkasi's willingness to help sponsor the event.   Then again, we haven't exactly tried asking some place like Upright Brewing for a firkin of their Oyster Stout stuffed with black truffles.

I don't want to spoil the subject line, but..........    Thanks Craig.  It's good to be back.  I have been around, and alive in Depoe Bay.  But, I had to break down and get a part time job.  The pension just doesn't pay all the bills.  Sad, huh?  Don't you all feel poorly for me...... hahahahaha.  Also, I spent the summer fixin up the house after having it re sided.  Got the priming done (by brush and roller) before the rains hit.  Now it's whitewash looking, but sealed at least.  Will get the paint on this spring / summer.

The reason I haven't taken the yak out in a while is, quite honestly, the numerous sightings and partial attacks by great whites in the area.  In a preriod of about 3 months there were 5 sightings / attacks, all within about 50 miles of me.  Scary!  I still have the shark fobia from surfing in my youth in So Cal.  Got chased off the water by a nice big Blue Sark.  I won't be going out by myself.  Tryin to get the wife into the idea of paddling around in the bay with a yak of her own and my radio, while I fish.  We'll see.

But, hey......  As long as I can get a day off from work, I WILL be out there for ORC.  Wouldn't miss that for all the BUD BEER you could offer.   ;D

PS, Demonick, as long as it has been stored COLD, Corona is NOT "skunk beer".   ;)
