Thanks, Deep...

Ya know, both team members (Rory Gregg is featured tomorrow), and the whole Hobie crew for that matter, were really cool guys.  Definitely passionate about the sport and really down to earth.  For you Mirage Drive nerds, Thursday will be your day......

I'm liking the Milkcrate.  Maybe a sticky thread is warranted which can just be bumped with each new issue?  Or I'd welcome a new thread with each new edition, then we can get all irreverent and smack-talking specific to each issue.

Awww, you fellas sure can make a boy feel all tingly and special.  Cockles are warmed with every kind word.

Seriously, though, I'm glad ya'all are enjoying it.  It's been fun, but can be a bit of work, so it's nice to hear that the reception is going well.  I do need to say that Allen is doing a mighty fine job with his side of the crate, too.  He's put a lot of time and talent into this.  But that douche-wad is gallivanting around the sunny, uncharted, booze-soaked South Pacific with a milkcrate full of oversize tuna and media fame, so, well, I'm not gonna stroke him too hard.

Stickies are fine with me.  I do love me some irreverent tomfoolery and smack-talk, though.  Either way.  Jim, Hobie's lead engineer and all around smart-as-all-get out-dude is up tomorrow.  He designed something called a Mirage Drive; maybe a few of you have seen such a wacky contraption.  Some business about boats and penguins power.  I dunno....

Jim Czarnowski's interview is now up.  He's got all sorts of MIT smarts, and creates things like Mirage Drives and super sweet trimaran sailing boats.  There are some pretty pictures of the later in there, too.  He's made me wanna pack one up and wander the Mexican coastline in search of Tecate, fish, and trouble.

I'm sitting here looking out the window at my Tandem Island thinking I gotta fish again tomorrow. That article on Jim Czarnowski just made me drool. Only wish I was 40 years younger.

Life is too good!

I was gonna ask for a pic of the F150, but, since he was brave enough to admit to it all, I felt as though he gave us enough.  No need to further the shame.  Mad props to Jim for telling the story, though. Owned it like a champ.

I-Hop, those are truly awesome watercraft.  After the Australian issue, I started itching to get one.

AJ,

If you ever want to fish, sail let me know. Always looking for an excuse to get on the water and willing to travel to learn new places and techniques to catch fish and see the beautiful PNW.

Thanks, I-Hop.  I'm nursing a broken rib/ligament/muscle, but after I heal, I may take you up on that.  I'd love to try out that boat.

Did the guy from your camping tomfoolery find you?

Just let me know when you're healed up...maybe the healing waters will be beneficial. I plan to fish next Friday's sturgeon opener from my new secret spot and have an open seat at this point.

It'll be a while yet.  Give me a month or so.  The only empty seat I'll be occupying is the one on the Opiate Express.

Slay some dino and take some pics!

Rest up, springer season is coming! The iHop should be great for trolling the Columbia and other waters.

I'll do my best to post a few Dino photos to cheer you up. Feel free to make any suggestions for spots I should scout.
