Sad to see, I feel for their families.  That could very easily happen here.

Sad story. Small weather window on the ocean, unfamiliar with their equipment. If they had families, I hope they had their life insurance premiums paid up. Tip a Foster's at Spot's clinic tonight.

And THIS is why I'm putting on the clinic tonight.

I know y'all are mostly interested in the part about how to find and catch fish but the 1st half is going to be all about safety and ocean conditions.

Spot -- would you consider making a video of your remarks at the clinic and posting it? Or, for that matter, making it available on a subscription basis?  We have little access to the formal instruction of experienced kayak fishers where I live, and we can all afford to learn more about safety and how to evaluate conditions.

I don't expect this clinic to be in a format that would work well for video.  I'm going to approach tonight as a guided conversation.
One of the things that's going to be missing is graphics of what I'm talking about.  I couldn't secure a projector and laptop so I didn't bother to powerpoint it.
If the feedback on the material is good, I'll put together a video along with graphics, interviews with some NW saltwater heavies and web-sources.  In the short term, I can send you my outline and you can ask questions about specific points of interest.

akfishergal, how do your know FishesFromTupperWare?

Wali called me and suggested I give you what you want....  So, if anybody wants to video and post tonights dialogue, feel free.  I do however, reserve the right to pull the video from youtube/vimeo/where ever at my discretion.  ;D

I am thinking that having a motorized yak may not be such a good idea. If you fall out while motoring, there goes the yak and any hope of self rescue. Maybe being tethered to a kill switch would make it a bit safer.

Looking forward to seeing anything that might end up posted, or the PowerPoint when you have the chance.  I promise, no outside influence was exercised.  The only connection I have with anyone is on this site -- entirely digital.
