Hi all -

Just wanted to get opinions about the Kayak Angler magazine.

Worth the subscription price?

I really love that mag. I wish it was a quarterly instead of a bi-yearly publication. The best deal is to get electronic copies for 99 centavos, but the print edition is good for pass around and to drool on the fish porn pics. Some kayak shops will give you a copy if they think you're going to come back and spend money.

It's also cool when you see your fellow NWKA's editorial contributions and submissions of gnarly fish/travel pics.

They are now going to be printing three a year btw.  Next Adventure has... will have them if you're in the Portland area.

Thanks all

I think I will proceed with a hard-copy subscription.  I already spend 10+ hours a day on the puter for work... Having a printed magazine is sometimes just better!

I used to live in PDX, but now in Bozeman, MT.  So unable to hop over to Next Adventure to get a copy.

Speaking of Bozeman, does anyone know the proper way to Kayak ice fish?  Do you cut 2 holes in the ice - one for the fish and one for the kayak? Or, it is better just to cut one hole for the fish and let the kayak sit on top of the ice?  :)

HaH! i think Pisco Sicko has that one wired down... or is it EOBasser?? anyways, somebody last year cut one hole in the ice, then parked the yak next to it, and fished. was a picture of it here, too someplace........ :icon_scratch:
Why so many odd typos ? You try typing on 6 mm virtual keys with 26 mm thumbs....
