I've been getting the itch as it sounds like many of you have. A little topical ointment and a trip to Homer with kayak fixed it. Caught a couple nice ones in about 1.5 hrs. Usual spot, usual methods. Lots of bait, not many boats out...yet

You da man!  I was getting a bit worried about whether the feeders were going to be moving back into our range this fall. Things have been pretty sparse for the power boats and most of the success was up by Anchor Pt and far offshore. The bait you mention is probably what is the catalyst for fish moving nearshore again. I'm ready!

We finally made it up your way in late July for our Alaskan vacation. You guys have it made up there...fish everywhere! It was amazing to see salmon jumping 20 feet off the beach at Homer and Seward and creeks clogged with four species of salmon. We don't see that in Oregon. I really love your reports.

Good to see. Thanks for report. Planning on next weekend.

Went fishing on the Kenai this morning. Lots of silvers. Met the guide at at Bing's at about 7:30, back to the house around 11:30.

Fished all day in Homer. I'm beginning to feel like Rudy....I have lost any mojo I may have had! I got blanked. No bites on my lucky(?) purple hoochie, and no luck with herring, either. I marked fish on the fish finder, but no bites. I saw a couple of power boats catch one, but not a whole lot of action for the number of boats out there today. The weather was fantastic....so I got my exercise in beautiful surroundings[emoji16]. Hopefully the weather will cooperate, and I can try again next weekend.

A wise man once said "perseverance pays off". Keep it up, pretty sure the last 4 trips I took for kings I was skunked.

Just got back from Homer, spent a few hours on the water around high tide. Fishing in about 15' of water. Not much action but managed one nice one.
