Thinking of hitting Whittier on Friday to kick off the longer weekend.  Weather and tide looks good so far.  Silvers were sighted and caught at Pigot this past weekend.  Hopefully they'll be in closer by now.  Launching from Smitty's Cove seems to be the best bet I assume.  Tight lines folks!

I had a guy from FB tell me he spotted some silvers showing around the neighborhood in Whittier when he was powerboating last weekend. So there should be something beginning to mill around the harbor and jetties now.

Forecast changed, a little more wind in passage canal, seas still 2 feet. I'll check out Whittier anyway and if it's looks too sketchy maybe I'll try pedaling up 20 Mile river as far as I can stand it and try for silvers or maybe Portage River.

Seas were fine. Launched from Smitty's Cove.  No silvers to be found, but did manage two juvenile lingcod halfway to Bush Banks. Nice couple hours despite the rain.
