Looking for a FF for my Feelfree Lure 11.5. Yak has a removable pod for mounting and room for a battery in the pod. Visibility in bright sun important. $250 budget with battery. Open to used if anyone here has one for sale. Thanks 🦈

What Lee said.  I'd add: decide where you want to use a finder and how you want to use it.  Once you've narrowed it down that much, there will be more than enough options out there to fit your budget.  Only you can decide what features will work best for you.
I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...

That's 100 cheaper than anywhere else?

Anyone have experience with Humminbird's SI feature?  Seems pretty useful.  I've been contemplating purchasing one of these:

Depends on the type of fishing you do if it is really helpful. Also your transducer mounting position is very important for the SI. The transducer has to be free of the hull to take advantage of it. Most of the kayaks I have seen with SI have the transducer mounted on an over the edge arm system  even then to work on both sides it has to be below the level of the hull.

For me i wasnt sold on the side imaging as you have to be moving in order for it to work i am told. I use the Navionics more than i do anything else as i do inshore fishing and marking locations is quite valuable, especially while fishing in heavy swells

+1, they all have pros and cons but do a good job.

Feature wise, I'm really liking dual beam with down imaging.  I have it on my revo with the humminbird and the Raymarine on my boat has it.

Thanks for all the replies. Probably looking at the Lowrance Hook 4. Think I'll wait for the PDX sportsman show to see what kind of deals are there.

I actually had Sportsman's match Bass Pro for that one, but then realized it only had the base map and didn't come with the sun cover.  I returned it and ordered the one from Bass Pro online.  I don't know how much more you get with the upgraded mapping software, but for the same price I figured I couldn't go wrong.  Only down side is that BPS won't honor military discount on electronics so it is slightly more expensive than Sportsman's.

Now I just have to figure out where I am going to mount it.

I bought the lowrance  chirp 4 with maps (online was best price).  They had a $50 rebate program so check for that - bought mine in January so it might be an active promotion again this year. Good luck!
