Looks like some improvements coming this summer at PC!

http://www.tillamookheadlightherald.com/community/wider-beach-access-ramp-breaks-ground-in-pacific-city/article_3334f0b4-1013-11e7-a507-0fc32ccbe2c7.html

Sounds like we'll have two way access to and from the beach, plus better marked pedestrian access.  Should help some of that cluster that happens on busy afternoons...

Nothing more annoying than having to wait for Lulu and Helga to finally get out of the track so we could shoot through the soft sand fast enough to hook traction on the concrete blocks.  Those Betty's made it look like the track was for pedestrians and wiener dogs only, not minding the trucks lined up in the beach ready to take a run at it.

Ya that ^... plus the dolt that thinks a highbred with a ton of battery weight and 13 inch tires can drive on sand.

What concerns me is that part about closing it down except for doryman and responders if they have issues with the temporary ramp, might prevent us from using it?

I went there yesterday, trying to stare at the ocean till it calmed for an hour or so, after trying for surf perch from the beach north of PC, before I went down to depo to fish from the rocks.
I drove my civic down the temp ramp and up the beach. The temp ramp works fine, its a lot like the old ramp moved a little farther south [emoji6]

This new ramp is going to take away my third favorite thing to do at PC, provide running commentary of the confused pedestrians and idiots getting stuck.  Hopefully at least one dolt gets his sedan stuck across both lanes when I am there this summer.

I bet if you're there at sunrise like the dory boaters there probably won't be anyone there to stop you from driving down. They're likely concerned about the time of day that the crews will be working on it. And they'll have to let you back up when you're leaving.
