Thought I'd give everyone a laugh with the subject line😀   I was able to get out fishing with Brian this afternoon and caught this  3#13oz Largemouth. I caught 2 more in the 15-16 inch range along with some bites that didn't materialize. Brian picked up a nice Bass and a Crappie.  It was a cold wet day, but rewarding in the end. The fish were lockjawed and I thought I might get the big ole skunk. Tried a crankbait that I remembered that's caught a lot of fish and my luck changed. Never give up and keep trying different methods and locations.

Congrats!  Glad you found something that worked.  How long do you stick with a method before swapping out?  I think I may be a little ADD in that regard.
Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.

Way to go Mike, it's always better when the fish cooperate.

Nice fish! Good reminder to stick it out when the fishing is tough.

Nice job.  I didn't see you signed up for AOTY yet.  Better get signed up so you can start entering some of your fish.
Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

Yippiekaiyak - I'm pretty ADD myself.  I'll switch out techniques or colors every 10-15 minutes if I'm not catching anything.  I'll move around to different areas also fairly often.

Nobaddays - I've been really busy and haven't got around to signing up for AOTY yet.  I took a picture of this fish in the Hawg Trough, but left my fish grippers on. It donned on me after I released the fish.  I guess I'm a little rusty.  Hopefully I can catch another nice one this year.

Nice fish Mike!  Spring must be here.

For what it's worth it's OK if the fish is restrained with fish grips while on the board, IF you can clearly see the lip touching the "gate" of the measuring device. In the case of the picture above it doesn't look like you can tell if the lip was touching the gate so it would probably be rejected.

I just wanted to point that out because a lot of other CPR tourneys won't allow the fish to be restrained in any way except by hand.
