I keep a squeeze bottle of lemon Joy in the gear bucket and at the beginning of salmon season I scrub all my Brads and spinners with it too. 
I also like to keep a nice fresh banana in the hull for lunch too.  And as I walk by other people's kayaks I rub it on their kayak for good luck.  😉

I can't tell you the # of bets I've won by catching the first fish after rubbing my bait, lure, leader with a banana.  Not sure exactly where the "bad luck" bananna comes from but it's rubbish!  That said, I do keep non ultra lemon joy on hand more so for general purpose cleaning.

I also do not understand peoples superstitions.  I like to eat bananas while fishing and talking about the weather has nothing to do with what actually happens.

With regards to the soap, I have mine sitting in my truck.  It was purchased for fishing but has yet to make it out there with me.  I planned on using it for my hands.  I don't like a fishy banana.
