Yah the copper river king dilema by the state is crazy.  I hope they are correct in saying it will be a strong run.  3600 kings leaving only 400 for their quota last time i heard.

Wife and i will be heading down friday-monday aswell. Staying at lands end, would love to link up and do some first time cook inlet fishing.

Forecasts are different each site I check.  Saturday maybe, Sunday mid-morning more likely.

just checked into lands end, you end up bringing the yak?

Sure did. Looking at mid morning between tides tomorrow. If water is too rough, I'll fish the lagoon.

I think I'll troll around the green can tomorrow and look at WG Sunday. There is a good chance of halibut there as well.

Who's that getting to launch in front of the condos? I see red and yellow Outbacks. Forgot my thermals at camp, I'll be back!

Just stopped by wg.  Seas were good at dead low but pretty breezy from the north. Not sure with the huge tides what conditions woukd be once the current started flowing against the wind.  Going to look at Homer then check WG again at high tide.

Didnt see any marks on fish finder trolling around the condos to the end of the spit, getting some turkey sandwich fuel and waiting for the tide to run its course and will what were gonna do from there.

Picked up a smallish white king trolling cut plug herring out towards the green can.  Also a tiny halibut and a p-cod.

If the weather holds, i will try this evening.  Its too bad. With these ultra low tides, the fishing might have been good on the Anchor Point reef.  But Im lazy so Im hoping the wind stays down for a 430pm ish launch to hit the high tide.

How's it looking over there?  Chillin at camp in Homer enjoying a little rare sunshine. Sure would rather be sitting in the yak going after some butts.
