Got out near Pacific City with my son and a friend today. We all three caught limits of lings, and rock fish. The surf was really flat where we launched and landed. I still tipped over on the way back in... I'm starting to make a habit of falling in right at the beach

It really was. There's something really special about watching my son nail the fish too

Wow!  The ocean looks really flat in that photo.  Good day to be out there.

Why is the Mirage drive strapped to the front deck and he's using the paddle?

Also quite the mix of rockfish in that thar bag.  8)

He was having an issue with the twist lock on one side and decided to paddle for the day instead messing with it. I need to make sure it's set up better for him next time.

It was about 9:00 or 10:00 by the time we actually launched, then we were of the water just before 2:00.

Awesome catch
Thanks! It was a lot of filleting! I think it's about that time for Zach to start filleting his own catch. Rinsing and bagging is just not going to cut it if he keeps out fishing his dad. [emoji6]

Sounds like an awesome day, Casey.  Did you get any footage of it?  Your last video was fun to watch.
Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I spend tons of time watching other people's kayak fishing videos too. That's really what inspired me to get a kayak... Well, that and my boat taking a shit on me one to many times while fishing off shore.
I did get a lot of video of the three of us yesterday. I'm not sure when we'll put the next video together though. My father in law is who actually puts my footage together. He's over east fishing right now.
