Who's or Daiwa guys? My neighbor has an older reel ($7 garage sale find with the rod) that has a few broken parts. We need to know if it's wort cleaning up and fixin or if it's worthy of the garbage can

I have one of those reels,  bought over 15+ years ago.  Just used it out at Pacific City this year.  I don't remember exactly what it cost back then but I can't imagine I paid over $50 for it new because I don't buy high end fishing gear.
"A venturesome minority will always be eager to get off on their own,
and no obstacle should be placed in their path;
let them take risk, for God sake, let them get lost, sun burnt, stranded, drowned,
eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches -
that is the right and privilege of any free American."

A new one will run you $120.  I just got one that I'm running lead core line on for trolling for trout.  Justin Wesson might know with regards to parts and cost to fix.

Thanks Brad what's Justin's handle on here? I'll shoot him a pm unless you already have him an alert.
