It was pointed out to me during the Oregon Rockfish Classic that the rules for the AOTY youth division were not listed on the AOTY rules page.   First, I apologize for the ommision, I'm pretty sure they used to be listed.  I've updated the rules page and now I'm getting the word out here.

Here's the new rule..

Quote
16. The youth division is for children 13 and younger and is free with a paid adult's AOTY registration. The youth division has it's own leader board and prizes. Rules for the youth division are slightly more relaxed, for example, and adult can assist in netting a youth's fish. As a general rule of thumb.. "as a parent would you be proud to say your child caught this fish from a kayak".. if so feel free to enter it.

For those with children, it's not too late to enter.  Simply register your child with his or her own AOTY user name and be sure to check the "youth division" box.   There shouldn't be a PayPal payment associated with this, so you might need to PM me that you've set your child up for AOTY so that I can activate their account.  If the AOTY site gives you a problem about a duplicate email account, just use yours and at "_yd" to it.  For example.. "bsteves_yd@gmail.com".   Be sure to log into your child's AOTY account when entering their fish catches.

Most importantly, have fun, be safe, and take a kid kayak fishing.
