At the end of the "PC on the 18th thread" guys are talking about tomorrow.  I'm planning on it but might not make it by the popular 6am.

and there they go,  good luck!  The "camo" boat just went out prior to this.

It was fun to see all the kayaks out today.  It was a beautiful day on the water.  I took out a friend for his first time kayak fishing the ocean.  Great conditions and he caught fish.  Now he is ready to go kayak shopping.

I threw out one crab pot.  When I pulled it I set my new record.  I had 32 legal crab in the pot.  There were no undersized or females.
Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

It was indeed a great day out there today!

Nice to see many folks on the water.

Thanks to all who provided me some inputs yesterday (also through PMs) in a different thread on where to catch crab in PC. it helped and
I pulled 16 legals from my pot (and a hand full of undersized).....

My pot was already quite difficult to pull on board without tipping the kayak, so i can only imaging the challenge Nobaddays must have been facing with his pot.... :)

A great day made even better by Nobaddays generosity.
He had so many crab he offered them up.
Made me work for them though ;)
Thank you again.

My daughter and I finally made it down to PC around 230pm in hopes of hanging around to catch the sunset.

The surf is so tame, I should have brought the AI down.

We definitely had quite the plastic navy out there today.  At one point I counted 13 kayaks out there.  Sorry I didn't make my rounds to meet you all but I saw a lot of you out there and swung by to at least say hi.
The morning weather was weird with the fog rolling in around 10am.  The morning launch was bright and sunny but you could see the fog out there in the distance.
The rockfish bite was pretty hot in the morning.  I limited out by 09:30 or so.  No cabbies today and only one small scrappy ling that hit my jig while I was working my way back to shore.   He had a death grip on my 3oz jighead.  As soon as his head broke the water he spit it and was gone.  Oh well, it was a great day non the less.
Pics and a video to come .

We hung out on the beach enjoying the Portlandia folks come out and show everyone that they do NOT know how to drive in soft sand as well as they thought they did.  Too funny!!!

Then there was a guy that came down the ramp in a Subaru with a Hobie Outback that launched around 6:30pm and stayed out till nearly 9:30pm.  Water was calm as glass and we could see him working the rock.  I want to do an evening spin sometime out there, it looks so tranquil. It was just dusk enough that he had to use a head lamp for a white light to be seen clearly by other boats.
