Had to head for the west side of the state for work, so I drug the kayak and some camping gear with me. Met up with a buddy and his girlfriend and we fished La Push for 2 1/2 days.
The conditions were a bit sporty, 4-6 foot swells and a bit of a breeze. We fished the needles all 3 days and never had any problems. All 3 of us were in Hobies. My buddy and I in outbacks, and his girlfriend in a revo.
Fishing was decent. My biggest Ling was 24”, my buddies was 30. Caught lings, blacks, cabezon and kelp greenling everyday. I never found the 36” ling I was looking for, but I hope to be back on the salt soon continuing the hunt.
Pic is of my best ling and best cabezon, both caught on Saturday.  I was pretty stoked to finally catch some fish so I can get a few points for AOTY....!

Nice. I'm wanting to give LP a try. Check out Drake Gordon on YouTube. He fished LP off a Hobie. Great vids and he has good knowledge.
