Thanks brother. I'm fortunate, at least at Wake I can get some nice diving in!  I could think of much worse places the Air Force could send me.

Looking forward to it! I'll be there for sure.

Low sky and Martin- thank you for your service, wish u could be there. (Assuming you're military...don't know why else you'd be in Saudi or wake island)

I hope you got more than diving in....we used to catch Ono and Sword fish from shore with 13 gallon trash bags and a live mullet over by the marina!!!

Kardinal_84,
So is this the "who's in" thread? If so I'm "in" but won't arrive at WG until late (10pm) or so on Friday night.  Will make for any early morning but better than not fishing...

Jonathan

Yes, I agree with Low Sky. Pics to  show the working stiffs what we missed.  I could use some motivation.

Teaser. More coming I hope.

Fishing was slow but the turnout and weather was great.  I think more than 35 kayaks showed up.

Winner Chris Rodriguez with a 69lbs 9oz fish.

I finished2nd with a 68lbs 13oz fish.

35 kayakers for an Alaska Tournament.. ::)

    You guys rock.

    Keep up the great work.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Great turnout. Incredible day on the water. Great people. Slight sunburn. It doesn't get much better than this. Thanks for organizing this Rudy, and thank you to everyone who donated prizes to the event.

Thanks rudy for putting on this tournament, and all the effort put in. Was good to see so many kayakers. I went out way to early and didn't get to really enjoy it lol. Not to say it didn't pay off but I think I'll get a good nights sleep before the next one!
