Is anyone planning on going out of PC or Depot on Sat or Sun? To a rookie the waves look good, but it looks to be windy toward noon both days.

Would love to get my maiden voyage in.

I'm going to go look at Depoe in the morning, if it looks doable I'll launch from N Fogarty.
No doubt there is going to be wind, how much & how soon are what matter.

Saturday looks good.  Watch the wind around noon, as it being 90 degrees to the swell it could make for some confused slop.

Sunday looks about the same, but seeing that something is coming in on Monday I would pay very close attention to that, as it could come in early on ya.  Check the swell/wind forecast while you are launching, and again while you are out there.

If you check winds on a sailing site instead of on the surfing sites, it's could be plenty windy all weekend and well into next week.  We're already darned windy down South and it's building up much earlier in the day than the forecasts predict.  Do what INSAYN suggests, and as always, be careful out there.

I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...

Conditions were good in PC today.  A little sloppy at first,  but calmed down.  Another group of kayakers was salmon fishing,  and they caught a few.
