 :o :o :o

Yup......time for one of our Outbacks to find a new owner that will get-r-wet and catch some more fish in this bad boy.
It is a 2009 model we bought from a Forum member in 2011. We installed a 1" Ram Ball mount on the right side within reach for convenience. There is a Garmin Echo 150 for a fish-finder. Comes with a Cabelas 12 volt 8 A battery and the transducer is hull mounted. At the corner (right side again) of the stock seat is a 11/2" Ram Ball Mount with a Ram Tube Rod Holder. A Hobie Anchor system is mounted on the left for ease of use. The stock rudder and fins have been upgraded to Turbo status. Some regular scuff marks on the bottom but this boat hasn't seen water for 2 years now. And it hasn't seen any hard use since we've had it. It needs a new home .
With the upgrades and a few goodies probably thrown in --- scupper cart, fishing crate w/pole holders, maybe a net and a pole or two we would like to get $1300 for the package. And it will be worth every penny of that.
A reality check for my wife and myself reveals that our future fishing endeavors will probably be changing.  That said --- there may be a lot more prime fishing gear soon on the block. Or, if some "f ning" new guy wants to score a lot of PNW specific gear and likes to haggle a bit and gets this boat--- they will probably go away with a huge smile on their face.
Keep an eye open--- there may be a few more great bargains coming . The end of an era may be upon us.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Damn Mark - wish I could afford that deal!  I'm sure that boat will go quickly at that price.

Can you post a photo? Curious what color this one is- I may have a friend that is interested to take up kayak fishing.  Thanks!

Here are a few photos. I'd have to hunt down some OTW shots, but that isn't a problem if anybody feels the need.
I  have a couple of different milk crates in different colors and configurations. This package will definitely be 'customized'.

Mark, was this the one I borrowed back at the shipwreck ?

If so, here's a photo. Boat was in good shape, seat was fine, etc.

Sounds like a killer deal on a well loved (but great shape) kayak. Someone will get a smoking deal.

Give yourself 3-4 hrs of time to talk to Mark not only about fishing but a lot of other shi+ He's a humble man with a ton of experience and knowledge... so take your time and enjoy him as well as his wife's company. And if he thinks he's not kayaking again I'll just have to drive up there drag his azz to the water and tow him around in one of my kayaks id Thats what it takes. I'm sure I'll get some help from a few more guys on here.

Okay..........looks like Zack will be getting his 1st pedal kayak today. ;D
He sure sounded exited on the phone last night. I loved his enthusiasm..

To all that  expressed an interest------thank-you. And sorry about being slack about answering a few PM's. Being a caretaker is a lot more work than I  thought. And I haven't been on line much lately.

And Shannon-----thank-you for the kind words. I haven't said I'm not kayaking again---just that we may have to change our approach to fishing. I've been working on getting back in a boat--- but even my physical therapist told me I'm going downhill. Of course, I had to pin her down to get that brutal assessment. So I'll just work harder to prove her wrong. And I will prove her wrong.

Keep kayak fishing my brothers and sisters of the yak. I will be back out with you soon. But soon is never soon enough.

                   Mark

That's as hard to read as it must have been to write, Mark, and my absolute best wishes are with you.  I've been entertained and enlightened by your adventures and knowledge, and I'll be waiting and looking forward to your future posts.

All the best!
