Cool thanks. Might check it out tomorrow or sat. I've got some jigs I've been tying and would like to try out.

Im probably just gonna launch at the potlatch boat launch. Pa17t is a pain otherwise. Im good with the 2 mile pedal. Excercise.  Plan to troll up there on the way. Gonna try both jigs and some herring that i will be curing.  Do you do the ol float jig method or are you working your jigs another way?

I’ve only ever been twice, but float jig = success, AND ensures those you hook are actually willingly taking it.

Cool. Ill be trying out about 10 different jigs i got tied up then.  Have the bait in cooler for backup.  Excited for the forecast weather and tides!  Been diligently watching and waiting for descent weather for last few weeks.

I got to out of boat launch at 7 but took about hour for me to get up there. Super foggy. So had to take it slow. Ended up trolling up since i was going slow anyways.  And a ton of nets going like .5 miles out making quite dangerous. It was going down hard the whole morning and early afternoon before i bounced. Jumping all around and the people all around were catching like super easy. I was apparently doing it wrong because my catches were much slower. I switched to lures and started catching. The float and herring wasnt doing it. Just steal bait or get off before i could set hook. People are crazy out there too!  Very rude and no thought to just creep up in a spot with their pb right where they been watching you toss line for while.

It was crazy out there today. Be prepared to deal with inconsiderate mofos. Just a heads up.

It's pretty interesting the way people push in to such a small area to catch fish which really provide as good or better a fight you'll ever have from a salmon, but are only occasionally fit to eat or even smoke.

Was the only watercraft out there!  Easy  day. Caught 9 but released those as much darker in the belly. Give these ones a try on smoke. If no good. Atleast got some crab bait for next season!
