PC Saturday 4/7 - Express trip to WA

I've never looked at the report and seen it look this "sporty" lol.  That's some crazy surf.  It might just take you all the way over the sand hill.

Are you trying to tell me it’s not the weekend to work the OR jetties for the illusive monkey faced eels and I’m not going to have to talk my wife into pubcrawling between there and Yaquino Bay while we’re on the coat thru Tuesday?

I'm pretty sure the pubcrawling thing would still work.  You might need to bring a man portable anchor system to the jetty though.  I just want to check the surf cam and see what that actually looks like.

Stay tuned. I’m bringing the tri-diamond combat kites and a 3 meter para kite. Last time I flew that in less wind I finally let go after getting dragged and the 1” conduit hand did a 360 and nearly came around to say hello again. Lol. Wouldn’t need any water to get the trident up on a plane if I could hold on. Wind blowing inland is a compfort:-)

Time to take the AI out there and see if can literally fly!

Still bringing gear, PDF, anchor lines and good shoes in case the wind lets up on Monday, and that's just for the kite flying potential.
Have my "monkey" gear loaded and might look at the inside finger jetties in Yaquino Bay on Monday if it lets up.  Not in any hurry to meet Dave Jones

That forecast would be a definite surfing lesson if one even attempted a surf launch.

Sweet, we'll get to jig through a full 20 feet of the water column without even touching the reel! 

Combined with rising rivers, the next several days ain't looking good for any sort of fishing.  Oh well, at least the high flows should help with blasting all the coho and steelhead smolts out into the ocean.

He will be dearly missed.......... Just make sure your GoPro is running with a fresh battery and some sort of LoJack gps tracker so we can recover it and talk about how you did on the surfing of the kayak. Criticism to the departed. Film at 11:00
