When will AOTY 2017 go live?  There is an ocean window opening in a couple days.

Go for it!  Catch what you can.  When payments go live all the  fish you have caught to that point will count.

Hope you make it back safely soon! Glad to hear you'll be on the board in 2017. Thank you so much for volunteering another rod for the prizes - that's awesome!

Thank you for the responses, everyone. I appreciate it. Feedback like this helps a lot.

We are shooting for getting payment stuff for 2017 set up next week.

As mentioned already go ahead and fish and we will honor your catches once you're paid up assuming you don't wait way too long.

Looking forward to a great year!

I'm seeing 17 serious kayak anglers and me signed up so far. Better get some more warm bodies signed up because this crap weather will be over before you know it and everyone will be fishing. How about an official 2017 thread?

Hey I'm new, but I read the general idea of the AOTY. And I'm in and 40 is fine. Is there a formal sign up and how does payment work?

If you go to the NWKA homepage then look under the AOTY tab it has a place to sign up as well as make the payment.  It also has all the rules and species listed.  Glad you are going to compete this year.  It is a lot of fun.
Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

Yeah I figure I might as well share my stories of the "huge" fish I had till I flipped... and the picture of the mini bass I was able to keep, while I learn how to do the yak thing

Awesome, welcome aboard! Let me know if you have any trouble signing up. Once once you pay through the link it takes a day or two (manual process) to get your handle up on the leaderboard.

I'll start a 2017 kickoff thread.

Great! If you missed it, here's the 2017 kickoff thread:

I'm nailing down the details with Kokatat and Kayak Shed hopefully this week.
