We're not looking too bad on the sign ups. I have quite a few folks that have messaged me that they will be paying tournament fees and dropping waivers Saturday morning of the tournament.

Anyone coming up from Portland today or tomorrow for this Derby? Next Adventure needs someone to pickup the prizes and bring up for the tournament. I would appreciate any help, thanks. You can PM me or email and I will try to coordinate with CJ Siebler at NA. Thanks in advance.

3 anglers brought in 2 pinks each.   A few brought in a pink and another salmon.   I recollect 10 or 11 brought in at least one fish -- it was a rather slow day but wow was the weather cooperative and the organizers did a great, I mean fantastic job with the site, the organization, the hot dogs and the prizes.

On a personal note, I pulled in my first Kayak Chinook while jigging at about 25-30 feet with a buzz bomb!  That was a hoot!   And I had a pink on board but it flopped off the boat before I could contain it in the catch bag.

I was great to meet so many of you folks. Was a fun day.

I seem to have some problems attaching a couple of pics, I'll try later.

3rd Place Tony Isaac with his single Humpy weighing in at 6.53 lbs.

4th Place James Marsh

I had a great time coming out and meeting everyone. This was my first NWKA/HOTW event. I'm really impressed with how well everything was run and how friendly everyone was. I'll definitely make an effort to come out to more events.

I've never seen so many kayaks on the beach and out in the water. So awesome! I'm looking forward to submitting this catch to AOTY. A new personal best!
