Ending probably my last trip to y'alls great PNW and all  the great waters you have. I have enjoyed immensly every day up here over the years and the fishing companionship and camaraderie you all have shown me. I want to thank the Forum and all on it for your help and friendship. I will be lurking and fishing vicariously each  day. I am proof that eventually age will catch up with all of us. Again thanks and farewell. Art

I never had the pleasure and honor of meeting you, Art, but you surely have brought joy to all who did get to know you, and you'll be missed.  Have a safe journey home.

Safe travels my friend!  I'm gonna miss our on-the-water chats.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

Sounds like we'll have to go fishing in Texas!

Remember art your only as old as you reel! Also I have a spare boat if you ever want to make a short trip this way in the future. Good luck with the rebuilding of the shop back home.

  Farewell sounds so permanent.  ???

It has been great to get to know you Art. Our conversations have always left me wanting more conversations and wanting to get to know you more. You tell a good tall tell . And the best part is ---- your tall tells are true . And fun to share.
I hope Rockport wasn't hit too hard by hurricane Harvy. And that you can recover from the damage done. But I know you are a survivor, and will be fine in time. Stay strong , my friend.
My own and I'm sure several other doors are always open if you ever make it back up in this area. We may not be blood---- but you have family up here with many of us on NWKA .
  Take care my friend.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Wow ... it is amazing what comes from a random fishing tournament in Depot Bay in a 9' kayak. You are an inspiration to us all! Safe travels friend.
