I drove down to the beach at Whiskey Gulch yesterday. If the weather stays like this most of the snow should be off the road by next weekend. There was some gravel showing almost all the way down the road. There was a path to the end of the parking lot. Still a lot of snow down there. It was pretty windy, but still nice to sit there and look at the water for a while. Soon it will be time head down there trying for a spring king.

The hill at WG is easily drive-able now. The water would have been great for fishing on Saturday. Not so much on Sunday. I went down to fly a kite on Saturday and there wasn't a chance of getting it in the air.

Fishing season is almost here.

I saw two kayaks working off Whisky Gulch at low tide today. Didn't recognize the vehicle and was too far away to recognize the boats/people. (I need to get some binoculars in my truck.) It was a pretty nice day down there. I was there to fly my kite. Ha. There was a 5 mph wind when I got there. By the time I walked down the beach and unrolled the kite the wind was gone. Waited around for a bit, never got much over 3 mph. Time to get the boat ready. Might try to fish it next weekend.

I'm going to try to get my Torqeedo installed. I'm hoping that will really open up the trolling game. In the past my knees would only allow me to troll for a couple hours before giving out.

Getting first reports of hooligan hitting 20 mile river in Turnagain arm.  Should be fish in close in lower cook inlet!

UGH...gotta get out!
