$40 seems fine. May be worth looking in to a basic screen print AOTY/HOW t-shirt to come with be fee. Something basic and 1 color should be under $10 and would give some incentive for people to join aside from the competition. Just a though.

I'm in.40 compared to all we spend on fishing is nothing haha. Plus you can't argue with where the money is going.

Also there's several new HOW chapters so the money may be spread more thin to the different groups, adding to the entrance fee can help ensure the old and new HOW chapters can get some funds, at the lower price point it could be very little to each split among the different chapters.

Are the prizes just for the top place holders, or are there prizes also for participation in 2017?

I'm strongly in favor of lots of prizes for the person whose fish lands him in second-from-last place in two categories...

I didn't even get out this year, but a couple times. 40 is perfect. If anybody REALLY cant afford the 40 and want to join in , I'm willing to split the cost with a couple memebers  so that you can get involved.
