Dont' forget your camping reservations..
Chinook Bend Campground
Address: 2920 Siletz Hwy, Lincoln City, OR 97367
Phone: (541) 996-2032.
This is where the non-fishing events will take place.

Taco Feed
Saturday night.. at Chinook Bend Campground
Bring a dish to share or check out the items still needed on the official thread...

BYOB
As much as we have appreciated Ninkasi's support in the past, we won't be getting a beer donation from them this year.  On their end, they require more paperwork for these sorts of donations.  On our end, our insurance requirements increase dramatically if we serve beer.  If someone is familiar with OLCC regulations and wants to spearhead setting this up next year we can talk.  A pro-bono lawyer would also be helpful.

Tournament Winners announced
The top 10 will be announced and prizes presented during the taco feed.

Benefit Bucket Raffle
Saturday night.. at Chinook Bend Campground.. after/during the taco feed.
Proceeds going to Neighbors for Kids and Heroes on the Water.

Bring cash to buy tickets.
$10 tickets for kayak
$2 tickets for everything else
Bring a pen to put your name on the back of the tickets.  We'll call you by name rather than by number.
Most be present to win.

Bring cash to buy last minute tackle
Rumor has it that Mike Potts (formerly Hogg's Tackle) is once again bringing his mobile tackle shop to the Chinook Bend campground.  Mike's always been a great supporter of the ORC and I can't think of a better / easier way to get last minute tackle than from him at camp.

Review the ORC Rules

Review ODFW fishing regulations
http://www.dfw.state.or.us/mrp/finfish/groundfish_sport/index.asp
New this year.. fish descenders required, new rockfish sublimits, no minimum greenling size

Bring some salmon/steelhead/cutthroat trout gear
Salmon and steelhead were landing in the Siletz River right next to camp.  This is also our backup venue for the tournament.

Bring a pre-filled waiver
I will have plenty of blank waivers, but you can save yourself some time in line by filling one out at home and bringing it with your.

Know who's PayPal account you used to register[/b]
If you have a receipt from PayPal for the ORC 2017, you are registered.  Please try to bring a copy of that emailed receipt to the sign in.   At the very least, know who's PayPal account you used to sign up.  I know at least several of you used your spouses PayPal accounts to register and a couple of you paid for a buddy.    I will have a master list of who paid how much in registration and we can work it out from there.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the ORC.

Brian

One more thing, prices for bottle/can recycling in Oregon has gone up so there may be more motivation to collect and return for cash rather than let them go to the garbage cans.

If anyone with extra space in their truck or trailer and wants to make a few bucks, I'd suggest bringing a 50-55 gallon plastic can to set by the group camp or other areas labeled as a can/bottle recycle only bin, you can reap the returns.
