How do the tides affect the PC launch?  Can you see the rocks to stay away from?

You can at low tide but those that have been know where they are... and SamM will trip over the submerged smaller ones for ya at no charge.

Likely around 0530-0600 launching around 0630-0700
Edit: no tail lights when hooked to Dave's truck so leaving Garibaldi 0545 on beach around 0615-0630 also bringing two crab traps.

Wish I could join ya'll tomorrow.  Just saw Ray's video from last time out and I'm even more jelly.
Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.

Well the swells sucked and were huge, it rained all day, and the wind was blowing at 45 mph ...... does that make ya feel better?  >:D
If not don't look at the pictures because I know they won't.

Dropped in around 7:15 took two pots south rigged fir crab, shot over to the south side of the rock and started harassing aquatic species and the lady that already had 5-6 fish in her bag( not sure who she was) hooked some good size bass then had a (justkeeper) ling take my lancer jig, measured him 3 times just to be sure, peddled over to the north side of the rock and got an underling followed bye a nice cabi that took 3 times of running down to finally get the plastic grippers in his mouth. Headed towards the pots around 9:15 pulled 1 crab short 3 limits and helium head was sure glad as he got 11. Great day, perfect weather, and swell.
Meet two guys that took a big tuna out and gave some pointers as well as the wetsuit shouldn't stay in the truck rant. Didn't catch a name but one said he just joined. Hope he chimes in he had all the gear needed except a vhf.

Thanks for the very nice report Mojo!
It sure looked like a great day.

Now i feel very tempted to take Friday off and head over to PC instead of spending the day in the office.......
