First of July Salmon season opens in the Strait of Juan De Fuca.
Any plans out there for a kayak expedition?

I'm going to be looking into a 3-4 day trip somewhere west of Port Angeles.
Was thinking of the Snow Creek Campground just east of Neah Bay--mostly to stay away from all the power boaters; and I like the idea of intercepting these big fish fresh out of the open ocean.

Used to fish a lot during summers at Clallam Bay (Seqiu) but there will be hundreds of power boaters in that area.
Anyone else up for a trip like this---I'm just beginning to make plans.
Rob.
