The fishing was bad.  I saw a few dink trout come out.  I don't like trout fishing.  They don't get big enough for my liking normally, and if it's not big enough to fillet, it's going back in the water.  Then again, I spent the majority of my lake time with not 1, not 2, but 3 kids in Jabba's Sail Barge (That's Tarpon 160 if you don't speak StarWars).  My 6 and 8 year old were in the tank well, and my GF's 2 year old was passed out between my legs.

BUT, it was a great weekend.  Millersylvania State Park is great.  Lots of old growth trees in the campground, 3 swimming areas, and trails to walk.  Nothing beats your daughters saying "Papa this is the best weekend ever!"

"I don't like trout fishing"

Trout are my faveriot fish to catch. Get your self an ultra lite rod / reel combo, a bobber / night crawler rig and kick back.

I'm not much for eaten fish, so size does not matter ;)

That lake used to be one of my favorite places to camp at when I was growing up.  We never stayed at the state park, becuase back then there was Deep Lake Resort around the side from the lake. I don't remember ever fishing there, but the swimming was a blast.

There is now only the State Park and an "Adult extended Stay Resort" or something like that.

Sorry, I grew up in the South, where the fish are big.  Trolling for big fat trout or fishing for steelhead rocks, but planters just aren't fun for me.  I fish to eat them.  Except Bass, I'm only after them for points lol.

WR - There are still some bass coming out of there, it just wasn't my day to get one.

LMFAO!! :happy6: :laughing6: you guys come up with some good ones.

it's korean alright... slang for  "I understand, youngster".  Sorry for the confusion, Lee, i mistakenly thought you;d pick up on it right off.

Amos, it;s worse than the sandbox... i'm in appalachia  :banjo: and my next stop is el paso....  :BangHead:

I was there that weekend.  Those trout were biting pretty good on slip sinker rigs.  Although they were small try telling that to an 8 yr old :)  Monsters I tell you.
