Hi all,
My name is Joe and I live and kayak in Crescent City. Bought a Hobie Oasis for the wife and I last summer and have enjoyed the heck out of it. We try to get out whenever the ocean permits. Looking forward to interacting and learning here with you all.

Welcome Joe, send me a PM when you plan to get out. I will make the trip down from Brookings.

As you've probably found out, CC is a great place to kayak fish. There are many places to access the nearby fishing areas. I'll see you out there.

I usually launch from Pebble Beach. I'm not sure what is more exciting, the fishing or the launch/landing. Looking forward to seeing you out there.

Look at it as good exercise for your sphincter muscle. 6th street is a quick launch and you can be fishing in 5 minutes after launching. The drag back up not so much fun.

I want to take a couple trips out of CC this summer. It’s an area I need to explore a bit more.

If Pebble looks a bit sketchy, I will defintely try 6th street, thanks for the tip Hooper. Would also be nice to work in some new fishing grounds.

Hey Crash, let me know when you want to give CC a go. I will be free most days, except maybe Saturdays during the summer months.

Hey Joe! Nice to see more locals here. I have been wanting to hook up with Hooper and learn how to catch the local Calibutts. Maybe this is the year for that.
