I'll be there Thursday evening.  For those that will be there thursday evening we can meet up somewhere and discuss plans but I'm thinking of meeting at the ramp at 06:00 or 07:00 and get things set up.  We need to launch by 08:00 to use the outgoing tide to go to the jetty.  I only want those that are comfortable in the boats to ride out to the jetty.  Things can get a little bumpy crossing the narrows.  We will probably swing to the north of the narrows to mitigate that then swing back across to the South jetty.  We'll fish a while out there then make our way back and switch out tackle for those that want to try out some trolling for Salmon.

On that note, we will be needing some salmon rigs so if you have some extra rods, reels, or other tackle, please bring it with you.  I have some extra leashes to put on them for you if you don't have some of your own.

If things don't look too good for crossing the narrows or if some participants don't feel comfortable with paddling all the way to the jetty then we can just fish for Pile Perch at the old Coast Guard dock as a back up.

With this being on the Bay I want to make sure we are 1 volunteer for one participant and I'd like all volunteers have a VHF radio.  I'll have a couple extra if you don't have one.

I can't wait for this event, it should be a fun one!  :banjo:

I'll be there Thursday evening.

Looks like I'm good for being there Thursday evening and helping with Friday's event.  Are we going to be using the regular launch at the cleaning station for this?

Also, I should have an extra salmon setup that can be used.  Will plan to bring my extra net as well.

Thanks everyone for volunteering and for the extra gear.  We can't do this without your help.

We will be launching at the Old Mill boat launch for this event (same place as the tournament).  I don't want anyone twisting an ankle trying to walk on the slippery rocks behind the fish cleaning station.

Didn't realize this was going on until mojojojo said something about it today. I will be camping at Barview and getting there Thursday night and was planning on fishing Friday.  I'm a vet if anyone wants to give me any salmon pointers >:D. Never fished Salmon in the bay before.
