I'm in for next Thursday.  Weather looks good so far.  I'm interested in refining my RF skills.  And I will also bring a salmon rod.  When you say the concrete ramp, do you mean the regular boat ramp?

WHAT NO REPORTS?  :icon_scratch:

It was a great day on the water. Codeman definitely has it dial in and catches a lot of fish.  He had several fish before I was getting started.

Six of us ended up fishing and everyone caught a lot of fish.  We started about an hour before slack low tide.  Fishing was actually better before and after slack.  During slack, the bite shut off for about an hour.  Not much wind all day and sunny skies.

I wasn't counting fish, but I would guess I caught about 60 with about 40 of them being on a fly( the same fly all day).  Most were small black rockfish.  My biggest rockfish were on the fly and were about 16 inches.  So much fun on light gear and fly rods.

Thanks again Codeman for sharing your knowledge.  It was fun fishing with you and all the others.
Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

It was a great day to be out on the water with you all.  Thanks Codeman for putting this together. Caught lots of fish, sculpin, blacks, coppers, greens, and this! Any idea what it is?

Yes, it was a little breezy at times, but overall pretty nice day to be out on the water. Overall size of fish was disappointing, but it sure was fun! Great group of guys, cant wait for our next adventure. I definitely  had yak envy, being the only paddle yak in the group. Man do i need a hobie 🤔! Sure was cool seeing all those fish caught on the fly. It sure was weird how the fishing died at slack tide. Never seen that before. Typically its my best time. There were alot of things not typical yesterday.....good learning experience. I generally get stuck fishing solo, was so nice having great company. And we hit pelican brewing in tillamook for celebratory burgers and sammies. Great day! Look forward to planning more outings with this great group, and any others who wish to join.
My totals:
72 black rf
9 copper rf
1 blue rf
15 kelp greenling
1 cabbie

Everyone else already covered how great of a day it was out there so I'll just add some photos.  BTW, I have no idea how many fish I ended up with, I lost count.
Video should be up in the next day or two.  :headbang:

Those fish look like decent lingcod bait.  Especially that greenling.  Looks like a productive place.  I wonder what the legality is of transfering live greenling for bait purposes from one coastal town to the next if done in the same day/weekend.  Anyone look into this?

You might want to ask a game warden to be safe but I know you can’t transport to another body of water is the bay and ocean considered different bodies of water  :dontknow:
