It's finally starting to get warm enough around here to take the kayaks out. I just bought my gf a kayak for her birthday and we braved the memorial day crowds to take her on her maiden voyage on Sunday. We didn't have a whole lot of time on the water before a rain cloud positioned itself directly overhead but we managed to catch three walleye on jigs tipped with nightcrawlers between the two of us (she outfished me 2-1). Nothing huge but perfect frying pan size (12-14"). So glad she had a good first experience fishing from the kayak!

Nothing says good job like a few walleye and a cooler full of Summer Shanty!

Cool! Good job getting out and good on her for breaking in that new kayak the right way.  :banjo:
