1st coat of varnish.

That's super cool that you stepped up and made the nice plague . I wonder what you would do with a chainsaw in your hands ..... Hmmmm.

Looks like a pretty good turn out. Way to go guys. Post more pictures and results from these ugly fish.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Had a great time this weekend. My arms still hurt from fighting fish. Had fun with the vets on Friday and Saturday was just as good. Want to say thanks to Dino and the guys for putting together another fun HOW event and to Dulce for the great food. Can't wait for the next one.

We had a total of 34 paid participants this year, with the 50/50 split we were able to raise $510 for Heroes On the Water.

Friday HOW event and prefish was great weather just like last year. But the winds and chop picked up for Saturday tournament just like last year as well, just not as bad.

Missed seeing you on the water, T13!

Later in the day I overheard on powerboater tell another having trouble setting his anchor, "Yeah, I'm using 85 pounds of lead."

Kudos to Dino and crew for putting together a great TWO day event.
Thanks John

Thanks for posting all the bendy rod pictures! Looks like everybody was having a ball, I so want to be in the middle of all that with my flyrod. Maybe next time?

Great pictures! What a great time. My arms also hurt for the next three days. This is the first time that I can actually say that I lost count of the fish I hooked. Came in perfectly fine and diced my finger up preparing a cigar. Didn't make the end party due to an engagement with the emergency room.  Ah well, there is always next year.

Damn Steve, hope you're okay. Was looking for you guys at the potluck. Did Nate ever get a fish on his fly rod?

Steve did you end up using the duct tape on that sliced up finger??   :o   I need to upgrade my first aid kit...

Thanks for the fish you sent home with me - it ended up tasting pretty good as salmon candy!   A little too salty for some folks taste, I need to adjust things, but delicious...
