Congratulations to all the hard fishing kayak anglers in this contest. I've been clinging to a spot in the top ten with a real low average (lots of little fish) for too long and I can see a number of folks now knocking at the door. Good luck to all.

I really appreciate the Facebook updates, Capt. Redbeard.

Hang on to 'em. Per the rules there is a two week window and if for some reason it ends up being longer than that before everything is ironed out just contact me directly and I'll make it right.

And thanks for the patience!

PS: I've got 3 more sponsors hooked but not landed, so hopefully good stuff coming - all products I personally use/believe in.

Just an FYI folks - the AOTY leaderboard and fish entry pages may be down for a while.

KEEP FISHING! Take your photos, and there will be a plenty-sufficient grace period to get your entries in once everything is back up and running.

Please keep track of the dates and locations caught (modern phones and cameras should correctly set date/time metadata on the photo for you if you have the time set correctly, and depending on your settings some will record the GPS location as well).

I was just about to ask you about that.. I've got some photos nearing end of life.  Glad to hear we'll get an extension; it'll give me time to work on the video. :)
Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.

I think this is the entire list, in no particular order:

 Lingcod   5
 Rockfish   8
 Greenling   11
 Cabezon   8
 Surf Perch     13
 Flounder   8
 Chinook Salmon   5
 Coho Salmon   6
 Steelhead   6
 Cutthroat trout   8.5
 Rainbow trout   8
 Smallmouth Bass   10
 Largemouth Bass   9.5
 Panfish   13
 Kokanee   11
 Yellow Perch   12
 Halibut   4.25
 Grayling   10.5
 Walleye   7.5
 Dolly Varden/Bull Trout/Arctic Char   7.5
 Pink Salmon   7.5
 Sockeye Salmon   7

I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...

I'm stoked to bring on board RAM Mounts!

I personally use many RAM Mounts products on my kayak including rod holders and a GPS mount and they've worked great.

Here's a 31" lingcod I caught this year using a RAM fishing rod holder:

AOTY is back up and working - we just approved the first new fish.

It may take a day or two for you to be able to "see" the site from the base URL. You should be able to get to it from here either way:
