Hey folks! Had to take a long unfortunate break from fishing and subsequently the forum because it was just too painful to watch everyone out having a great time and catching fish. But now I'm back in action and gearing up to head south hopefully by Wednesday and through the weekend. Just wondering who else might be down there and also what they're hitting on. Just went after butts last summer and had decent success with 9" hoochies on 14-16 circle hooks and a bit of herring. Is there a better setup for this time of year?

I've also got some salmon trolling gear I picked up on recommendations last year and never got a chance to try out, but might give it a shot this weekend.

Anyway if you happen to pass a 35' motor home with a 14' banana on top of the driver's side gimme a honk and a wave or stop by and say hi if I'm parked somewhere. Looking forward to meeting and fishing with more of you hopefully more often this year.

On my way now and was hoping to run into someone else. First trip of the year and will be on the Peninsula looking at properties.  Kayaks are in tow. Look for pick up, popup camper and 16ft enclosed trailer.  Hope to see you there.
