Hi all!
When the snow got really deep out here in the sagebrush this winter I went south, a bit of sailing was the plan. But there were these people on kayaks! Now I have one too, am devouring everything I can find written about how to rig it. Wondering about suitable landing net, kill bag, anchor trolley, where to put the FF display...and that's just the start. So little time, so much to learn about how to chase the fish that swim, tantalizing, through my dreams!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

Welcome Dave!
I think we all have been dreaming about fish over this very, very long winter!

Thanks for the gracious welcome, guys! It's nice.
Jed, I've been fishing a reservoir on the upper Snake from a small pontoon raft. It's not glamorous but I think it's great.
A long time ago, though, I got a taste of saltwater fishing and I've never forgotten that. I confess my real plan is some serious traveling. Yellowtail and halibut are on my bucket list, at least in my dreams. :-)

Very cool. I have no problems with pontoons. I used one for years and still occasionally take it out to fish creeks and small streams. I'm on the border of  Ore/Ida and fish Idaho a lot mostly for bass but plan on hitting Easter Idaho this summer. Send me a message if you are around and want to fish.

Mark,
I know what you mean about search. It is amazing how much good information I've been able to find on so may parts of my current kayak quest. Now the questions are becoming more about fine detail and when some things are no longer current.
Thanks for what you do as moderator! It helps us all.
